Thunderous yes

When this groom-to-be contacted me, we talked a long, long time about the "when, where and how" of his elaborate, epic and lovely proposal. After lots of consideration, he decided on Cave Point County Park in Door County, near Sturgeon Bay. It turned out the be the perfect location, on the perfect day. He arranged to have family and friends hide in the nearby woods with flowers for the bride-to-be. I "hid" in plain sight, pretending to be a tourist photographer. It was easy to pull off, as Cave Point was in spectacular form that day, with waves crashing on the bluffs behind the couple. Who wouldn't want to shoot photos of that? I stood on one half of the main "cave" portion on the bluff, and they walked to the other portion. I pointed my camera down the length of the shoreline bluffs, framing the crashing waves in the background. The groom and I nodded at each other, and he turned to his girl, dropped to a knee and asked her hand in marriage. It was a spectacular moment. Of course, she said yes! And then, all the friends and family came out of hiding. We did family photos, celebratory photos and lots of candids of the happiness. Then, I got the two of them off on their own, and away from the crazy-fabulous happiness, and captured this incredible image.
