At a very small, close family only wedding, the groom greets his mother and gives her a hug before the ceremony that was held inside Boynton Chapel on the Bjorklunden grounds in Baileys Harbor. The large, lakefront property is owned by Lawrence University, with neighboring Land Trust acreage. Boynton Chapel (not pictured) is a historic stavekirche structure, built in the Scandanavian style. It can only hold a handful of people, and is somewhat dark, but very quaint, with hand-painted frescos. Wedding ceremonies can also take place outdoors, near Lake Michigan, on the grounds. For larger events, the Bjorklunden main lodge is equipped to host.
