Detail photos include macro images of the wedding rings, in this case, posed on the bride's bouquet. Capturing details is essential for wedding photography since so much time, effort, and expense has gone into the planning. But I like getting a unique wedding ring image for every couple. It's unlikely they've ever seen their rings in such stunning close-up detail, so I like to keep the ring shot a surprise until they get their photo package. Detail shots are also essential for wedding albums, collages, slideshows, and other presentations. Other details include table settings and floral decorations. But most others don't require a macro lens.
